I'm recruiting a Monitoring Analyst to solve customer support issues on-site, at our customer's premises in Brussels.

You will work along a team of skilled and motivated technicians! We are looking for an extremely proactive Monitoring Analyst with a keen interest in technology, who is able to make suggestions for improvements and offer an opinion on new products or services.You will work along a team of skilled and motivated technicians! 

The position will require:

  • Proactively monitor systems and infrastructure in scope. This includes mission critical systems (front end, back end and middleware), non-mission critical systems, test environments, network and infrastructure components, voice communication systems and building management systems
  • Management of alerts raised by monitoring systems according to standard operating procedures
  • Perform scheduled health checks of defined IT components
  • Apply procedures to restore systems and services
  • Provide first line support to internal and external customers via phone, email, and walk-in
  • Log and update all alerts and incidents in the ticketing tool
  • Take part of emergency and planned interventions and system acceptance testing
  • Perform scheduled contingency tests and disaster recovery exercises
  • Review technical documentation and contribute to the on-going improvement of the working procedures
  • Work autonomously in shifts in a 24*7 environment (shift rotation, on call, etc)
  • Flexibility to cover shift changes with short notice


Job Requirements

  • 3+ year of experience providing IT 1 st Level Support
  • 1+ year of experience on Networking specific Support (focus on Monitoring activities)
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of network topologies (LAN/WAN) and troubleshooting
  • General knowledge and operating experience in TCP
  • Experience with networking monitoring tools
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot monitoring alerts and identify root causes
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows
  • Experience with Ticketing Tools and standard Office applications
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills that includes hardware, software, and other break/fix issues which might include printing, networking, and file shares, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting is a plus
  • Good understanding of infrastructure support
  • Ability to follow strictly operating procedure, strong sense of customer service, ability to multi-task, ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment
  • Team-oriented / team player / Expresses information and ideas effectively
  • Language requirements: Ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory, French is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a shift work environment. Flexibility.
